SilksAreForever is a large distributor of artificial silk plants. It offers an impressive variety of flowers that are great for wedding or party decoration.
We've been cooperating with SilksAreForever since 2011. Alt-team has started working on the store when it was CS-Cart 2 based and performed several upgrades in later years. We also made a number of improvements for the website.
The first small modification was made for the shipping mechanism. It switches to the special "Oversized" shipping method with a flat rate when the parameters set for USPS are exceeded. Being a wholesale and retail distributor the SilksAreForever store offers items by pack or by piece. According to the store owner's requirements we've developed a module that helps to calculate the price for each piece from the whole pack price. The pack price is automatically divided by the case capacity value and rounded to the nearest whole number.
When CS-Cart 2 was replaced by CS-Cart 3 our team performed a full upgrade of the store including the design transferring and added some new useful mods as well. For example, a special block that shows other available colors on the product page. The content of the block is determined by product code which first part should be the same as the one the product on the current page has.
When CS-Cart 4 was released SilksAreForever was upgraded again. To advance the store we added Google Remarketing special code. Also our designers created this new fresh header for the website.
As soon as dimensions is an important parameter for decorative plants customers can use sorting by height.
Some of our ready to use add-ons are installed there: "Easy Scroll Pagination" which is modified and also displays floating pages block
and "2D/3D Banner Slider" that makes banner changing showy.
FamilyNation offers all kind of nice items for moms, moms to be and their little ones.
When FamilyNation owners contacted us for the first time they already had a fine CS-Cart store, but to make customers' experience even better they wanted to make some modifications. So Alt-team performed a list of improvements, small and not so small. You can find some "sets" products on the website that were created with the help of our "Product packages" modification. It allows store administrator to form a bundle of different products and sell it as a separate set. Another small but helpful addition was a "Gift wrapping" module. This one adds an additional product (gift wrapping) specified in the add-on settings to any item.
The next thing added was a special setting available for promotions. If it is checked the price is cut only on the products that are not on sale. Also it is now possible to clone the necessary promotion. Among others we developed a "Gift product" modification which allows to create gift certificates of the set amount and sell them as regular products. On the checkout page customers can put recepient's e-mail address. By the way, shipping was also modified to add a shipping freight price even if "Free shipping" promo bonus is applied. When the order is completed the store admin can find a "referrer" link showing the URL customer came from. This field was included in the standard export. The homepage was supplemented by a special block displaying customers' reviews from TrustPilot.
Under this project our team performed Mailchimp integration that sychronizes CS-Cart and Mailchimp newsletter lists. All the pages in the store were enhanced by Google remarketing code. Together with the mentioned tasks we integrated ready designs for the static landing pages.
The backend standard search was improved by adding product code (by option variants) in the search parameters. And the Contact us form now has an anti-bot math captcha.
Other store improvements included displaying how many products the category has and a possibility to add different banners for each category.
FamilyNation offers products of different brands. To represent them in the most appealing way we added a brand bar on the homepage
Vistaglo store specializes on glowing accessories that can liven up any party.
Alt-team has been working with Vistaglo for about 4 years. The first modification was made on CS-Cart 2. And afterwards the store was upgraded. Most of the tweaks were made for the backend. One of the initial improvements was "Margin statistics" modification which counts the absolute profit margin on sales according to the supplier/purchase price and the online store product price. The "Common stock" add-on adds a new tab for every product. Store administrator can specify here the products having the same quantity. Any stock changes will be applied to all the listed products. Another mod we made is "United orders" feature that allows to choose a few orders and then merge them together in a new one. Later after the new CS-Cart release the store database and all the modules were upgraded. In a while our team developed a module that allows to create a new order by the autofilling with the help of CSV file. Within the project some integrations of third-party services were accomplished. They are Ogone payment processor, Mondial shipping service and Brightpearl CRM integrations.
Some of the products on vistaglo are customizable. For example paper bracelets that can be designed with the custom text. For these items website uses one of our latest ready-to-use solutions - HTML5/JS based Product Designer.
Some other ready add-ons are used on the website: "Marketing questions" that helps store owner to find out user's opinion on the service, "Shipping availability", "Shipping restrictions" which forbids shipping to certain countries, "Clone promotion" and some others. Cintamani is an impressive clothes shop for adults and kids.
Cintamani.is is one of our long established clients for which many tasks were accomplished. We've started with the complete website upgrade from the old CS-Cart version to the newest one. The current remarkable CS-Cart design was also kept and upgraded. This work required full design reintegration.
Another task was to set up a new start page which redirects customers to the store version accordingly to the chosen currency.
Also our team has developed several custom modules for this project among which is Facebook block displaying random happy customers who liked Cintamani.
Another module Alt-team created was Video manager add-on that allows to add videos with ease.

ZO-ON ICELAND
Zo-on.is is another great clothes shop offering outdoor and winter clothing for the family.
Zo-on is another project which we've been proudly working on for a long time. The work our team has done included skinning of the CS-Cart ready-made design mock ups as well as a major custom modification - Image Gallery that allows CS-Cart admin to create image galleries and display them in the storefront. Working on the store we also completed Borgun payment integration and an inclusion of a special banner type which involves embedding of a Youtube code and displaying videos in blocks.
The modification for homepage product blocks involved ability to choose the color right on the homepage and then continue the shopping on the product page without having to select the color again.
BuyBlindsDirect is a web store of Swift Blinds. It is a family run business and they care of the company's success. So they choose Alt-team to work on their online shop.
While working on this website our designers created unique CS-Cart design concepts and mock-ups taking into account the business niche - the blinds and accessories. Ready mock-ups later were put together and integrated in CS-Cart. Here you can see the homepage mock-up:
Dealing with a business that already existed our team had to accomplish a migration from the current platform to CS-Cart.
Another part of the project is the “Product Price Calculator” custom modification. As it is impossible to sell blinds by piece, we faced an issue to develop a price calculator that will be convenient for customers and accurate in the accounts. We succeeded in it and now you may estimate our work.
The next step was the Fast Track delivery date calculator that determines the day when the parcel reaches the customer depending on the day of the week considering week-ends and holidays.
The “Free Sample” modification allows to add a free sample directly from the product page to cart (but no more than 5 free samples per order).
Another addition is the Turn/Joint modification which informs customers that the fabric will be turned or will have a joint if the parameters entered in the Price Calculator meets some values set in the admin.
T-Shirt Deal which is led by our long-time customer is an online clothes store that offers a great number of customizable items.
The store successfully uses two functional add-ons by Alt-team: "Multishop" add-on that allows to administrate several online stores via one admin panel (which was developed before CS-Cart providers released the Ultimate version) and the "Product designer" add-on which gives customers an opportunity to personalize and order a clothes item with every possible text or image.
Also our team has provided individual design concepts and design integration service for this project.
Among many other tasks we built some creative things, for example a Deal module that gives a possibility to set a time limited promotion with a countdown timer.
Seeking to entertain users TShirt Deal team got the Design and Win module helping to start a contest of the best design. The administrator can set the contest name, its start date, the duration and assign product to the contest. The best design is determined by the number of received “Likes”.
HTCPedia is a great store for those who stand for HTC devices. It offers an impressive range of accessories of any kind.
Alt-team is deeply involved in HTCPedia development. It is our long-term project, we have been supporting it and constantly working at new features for about 5 years already. The work was started by the skinning of the design sketches provided by the website owners.
Along with design integration our team performed Search Engine Optimization and a number of improvements to make store management easier.
We have developed several systems for this site: device selector that uses global filter and an accessories compatibility system,
system of planning purchases based on sales forecast, advanced system of product keeping and orders management which was later replaced by an integration with a third-party solution. That was Brightpearl CRM that helps getting all the orders, customer data, inventory, accounting and reporting together in the same place.
We’ve set “Capture function” for all payment modules and contributed in configuration of Fedex, USPS, UPS shipping methods (the modification allows to generate shipping labels for an order or change shipping method and get the label for it).
Besides, this site operates with the help of Alt-team's "Multishop" add-on which connects together three online stores - Shop.HTCPedia, Smartphonepedia and MSGDigital. The add-on had been created before the cart providers released the Ultimate solution for several storefronts.
Also the store uses some of our ready-made add-ons - Spy Agent that shows items other customers bought and Estimate Shipping Сost.
Domotekhnika is a low-cost store chain in the Russian Far East. It doesn't need shop assistants or showcases thus it can afford offering really low prices.
Our team performed this project from scratch. We suggested to Domotekhnika's management and then realized a number of measures to improve positions and conversion in search engines.
We dedicated special attention to website optimization therefore Domotekhnika can show really impressive results while heavily loaded.
Within this project a great number of improvements for the out-of-the-box solution was made. Such as the new city choice feature. This is a complex modification that can be useful if you have one online store and several brick and mortar stores with different product availability in different cities. The whole store was divided into separate subdomains for every city.
Among other tasks we realized an import of product reviews from Yandex and Automatic SEO meta data filling and also integrated ERP Navision (starting from quantity and price import from Navision to exporting orders and users to Navision).
